Youth Forums Project 2016
I believe that my best project this semester was the youth forums project. My group was very patient in the process of choosing an idea to work on and developing a plan. We successfully put together a presentation for city council about our idea to bring a youth art showcase to Kitchener seasonally. We handled ourselves professionally and with grace while proposing our thoughts and ideas. Everyone shared the work and pulled their own weight with our project and everyone knew their responsibilities. Going to city hall was an amazing opportunity and experience, as it taught us about getting involved in our community and how to plan and execute a professional presentation. |
Blog PostsMy two best blog posts were about social anxiety and how it affects students, and also one about a campaign scandal from Donald Trump. I believe these were my best blog posts because they were relatable topics and are topics that the public has very strong opinions about, so it captures the attention of my audience.

Anselma house culminating presentationMegan and I organized a presentation about women's abuse and had a guest speaker from the Anselma house come into our class to educate us on what the Anselma house does for women and children fleeing abusive households. We were successful with organizing our presentation and having an educator come in, although we would've liked to inform our class about collecting donations sooner so we could deliver them.

DebateI feel that debating was a strength and an interest for me this semester and the best example of this was my debate with Skyla that we were assigned about refugees entering Canada. We prepared ourselves well and had many valid points that we used against our opponents flawlessly. Our rebuttles were strong and we ended up winning the debate. The only thing i would improve about our debate would be how often I stood up to speak. Other than that I felt very confident in debating and following through with the order in which certain points would be brought up.
